We multiply your daily distance (km) by the EV's energy use (kWh/100km), then multiply by your electricity rate (cent/kWh). Irish residential electricity averages around 40 cent/kWh on a standard tariff, but night-rate plans can bring this below 20 cent/kWh, halving your EV charging costs.

State of Health is the percentage of original battery capacity still available. A new EV is 100% SoH; after several years it may fall to 85–90%. Below 75–80% you will notice a meaningful loss of range. Most manufacturers warrant the battery for 8 years or 160,000 km — check the specific car's warranty terms.
