Verify the OR/CR (Official Receipt and Certificate of Registration) from the LTO and check for any outstanding violations. Confirm the connector type — most Philippine public chargers use Type 2 AC and CCS or CHAdeMO DC. Check whether the car qualifies under the EVIDA Law (RA 11697) incentives, including exemption from number coding.

How is the running cost calculated?

We multiply your daily distance (km) by the EV's energy use (kWh/100km), then multiply by your electricity rate (₱/kWh). Meralco's residential rate is around ₱10–13/kWh. The Philippines has some of the highest electricity costs in Southeast Asia, but EVs still deliver meaningful savings over petrol vehicles.

State of Health is the percentage of original battery capacity still available. A new EV is 100% SoH; after several years it may fall to 85–90%. Below 75–80% you will notice a meaningful loss of range. A 7 kW AC home wall box adds roughly 40–50 km of range per hour. DC fast chargers (50–150 kW) at SLEX, NLEX, mall car parks and dedicated EV stations can bring a depleted pack to 80% in 20–45 minutes. The charging network in the Philippines is growing rapidly, particularly along major expressways.
