1. Verify the Absher Transfer Is Complete
Check your Absher account to confirm the vehicle no longer appears under your name. The transfer is finalised when it shows in the buyer's name in the Absher vehicle register.
2. Cancel or Transfer Your Insurance
Contact your insurer immediately to cancel the Takaful or third-party insurance policy and request a refund for unused months. Do not leave an active policy on a car you no longer own.
3. Clear Outstanding Fines
Any traffic fines incurred before the official transfer date remain your responsibility. Check via Absher and settle any outstanding fines.
4. Keep All Documents
Retain the sale agreement, Absher transfer confirmation, and payment records for at least two years in case any dispute arises.
